Eyeka’s player runs as a TV show
The real cool thing about Eyeka’s player is that it operates as a TV show. The development team has done a fantastic job. It is one of the best i’ve seen as one can view his photos or videos in an optimal situation.
New stuff
• The length of the show is on the right and it shows you where you stand in the program
• When you blog the player, you can view it in a full screen mode just as long as you run the latest version of the Flash Player from Adobe
• A “play” button appears in the middle of the screen to activate the show
• There has been quite an improvement in the video compression and a reduced lengthtime in the download process
What i really enjoy is that you can build your own show, combining photos and videos, then blog the full sequence, come back to it, change the content. You don’t need to blog it again; it will be directly updated on the output.

Here is an example : i’ve used some pictures on Eyeka and wrote a little story.
A lovely girl has a boyfriend who leaves her to go skateboarding in China. She drowns in a glass of beer. 40 years laters, the boyfriend finds love again and is happy at last.

Eyeka is not about taking videos from authors to allow anyone to distribute it on sharing sites. Our authors can do that themselves. Eyeka is about showcasing these videos in a like environment, building programs from them so that we can eventually create revenu for our authors when we distribute some of these programs on other media.
